October Fun

While daddy was away on the Deer hunt, I decided to loan Sienna up and take her to Gardiner Village to the Wee Witches Weekend event. We met Aunt Nicki there and had so much fun!!! It was a little crowded but totally worth it... When Steve got home from hunting Sienna asked him if he wanted to come see the witches with her and get his nails painted...
She looks so big getting her "witches Nails" painted.
She also had a butterfly painted on her face!
Also that same weekend of the deer hunt, we decided to paint pumpkins. I got the idea off of Ashley's blog and they turned out so cute! Lucky for us, daddy came home from the hunt early and got in on the fun as well! I'm not sure if the pumpkin or the baby girl got more paint on them...

The finished product. I was going to put them on the porch but they turned out so cute I put them on the kitchen table.

This was at dance class. She wanted to wear her pumpkin shirt
And finally we decorated Halloween cookies... I am usually a better mom then using store bought frosting but this particular day I waited in line for 2 freaking hours to get the swine flu vaccine, only to be turned away when we got to the front of the line... Let's just say, standing in line for 2 hours while trying to entertain 2 toddlers was not the most relaxing way to spend an afternoon. I did not come prepared with snacks or things to play with, It's Kamas for heavens sakes, I really didn't think there would be that long of a wait. Needless to say, I just about put myself into labor and spent the night having horrible contractions 3 minutes apart!!!
We are so excited for Halloween. I haven't taken Sienna to get her pictures taken in her costume yet, but she looks so dang cute! Hopefully the snow will go away on Saturday so we can do a little trick-or-treating!

Sargent Boys...

Every time I see these pictures all I can think of is "thing 1" and "thing 2"

Oh, so cute... It looks like the brothers are holding hands!
Can't wait for Baby Boy Sargent to join this club!!!

Lava Hot Springs

We hit Lava the last good fall weekend of the year. The weather was amazing and Sienna loved the swimming pools with the "teeny tiny rocks"

My favorite picture of the whole trip... Love the tongue sticking out!

Hate pregnant pictures!

Well, It's been a rough week! Not going to go into too many details, I'm just going to say that Steve and I both woke up this morning feeling like we have been run over by a train... I get that things happen for a reason, I get there's a higher purpose and all of that... What I don't understand is how to console a husband who has now lost two brothers and a sister... It just seems so unfair! We love you Shawny-Shawn (as Sienna named him) We had so much fun with him this past year and will hold onto those memories as we continue without him. So here are the pictures of Steve and Shawn fishing two months ago. I promised to put them on the blog for those who wanted them. Please feel free to copy them and print off whatever you would like! I also just want to say that my in-laws are some of the most amazing people I have ever met. Their strength and views on life are something that I am going to strive to learn and will hope one day to have even 1/4 of the dignity and strength they have.

August & September Round up...

I'm a little bit shocked that it is now the first part of October! Why is it that when I was pregnant with Sienna the time dragged on and on, but with this one it won't slow down? We had a great August and September. We tried to spend as much time outside as possible and I think we pretty much packed it all in... Here's a quick round up...

Whenever Grandpa Seth Goes out of town, we are in charge of feeding Colie... Sienna thinks this is fabulous and if she had it her way we would feed him 10 times a day, instead of twice a day! The thing that I love most about these pictures is the outfit Sienna is wearing... You gotta love it when daddy dresses kids!

Daddy holds down the electric fence so Sienna can dump the pellets in the bucket. Unfortunately, (even though this is my fathers favortie thing to tell people) when we first started feeding Colie I was not smart enough to hold the fence down. I tried to lean over and got zapped in the worst place possible!!! Let's just say I learned my lesson after that!

Fishing the upper Provo!

She was so exhausted after fishing she decided to take a little nap on the 4 wheeler.

I'm so glad we live so close to my parents. I feel so blessed that my dad has such a great fishing buddy!

The Greehouse!

One day crop picking!

Steve didn't get the side doors on so we froze everything in the greenhouse. I was so sad... We had so many tomatos that were ALMOST ready to eat!

State Fair 2009
We made the annual trip to the State Fair. I was kind of bummed because we missed our chance to go with my mom and dad... Sienna had fun this year. My favorite things that she said at the state fair is:
We were walking around and I told her we should go look at the cows... I mean, my dad always made me do that so I thought I should have her do that... She looked at me with this serious look on her face and said "mom, we have cows in our yard."
Then we took her on the big yellow slide and it scared her, but she loved it. When we got home she was telling Grandpa Seth that she went on the big yellow slide but "it was too dangerous for him to go on it."

Shout out to Grandpa Seth... I have a picture of her like this for every year she's been alive!
