4.22.10

Last week we headed to California to spend a little time with family and take the baby girl to Disneyland. Sienna has been OBSESSED with the Disney Princesses for a while now so we figured it was the perfect time to take her. We flew into Orange County and stayed in Laguna Beach the first night. Personally I wish we would have stayed their the entire trip. I could have sat by the 6 pools at the resort and read all day, but that was not the purpose of the trip so we headed into Anaheim the next day. Cody, Kath and the kids met us in Laguna and we had fun going to dinner and playing in the pools. It was a fun trip and I feel so blessed we were able to go with my parents and brother. Unfortunately Nicki and Nate didn't make the trip because they were in Florida with the BYU cheerleaders competing for nationals. We missed them but I feel so lucky that Sienna was able to enjoy Disneyland with her cousins. We had been with them the week before so Sienna and Brooklyn were still at odds with each other. Sienna kept telling us that Brookie wasn't going to hit her anymore. They did pretty good together until late that night when they were both watching the DVD player. They are both such little stinkers, Sienna would turn the screen so it was pointing in her direction so Brookie couldn't see it, then Brooklyn decided if she say really really close to it, then Sienna couldn't see it. Being six weeks apart, we are really in for it with these two. They both have strong personalities and it's been pretty funny to watch them grow up together. I know when they get older they will love having a cousin so close in age, but when you're 3, it's really hard to share the attention and toys with each other...
Our view from the resort... I found another Marriott that I am in Love with. I am already planning our next trip to this resort... But this time we'll just stay here the entire time...

While the adults finished dinner I took the kiddos out of the restaurant and took them to play. We posed for pictures and played in the fountain near by...
I'm pretty sure these two are the biggest cheese balls I've ever met...
LOVE Sienna's face in this one... She is Horrible at sharing...!!!

Disney Day 1

The first day at Disney we were able to go with my brother and his kids. We had so much fun having them there and I never had to worry about Sienna because Savana was there to take care of her.

She started the trip off scoping out what she wanted to purchase... Shockingly, she went straight for the Snow White stuff...
Little Man started the trip off with a huge blow out... We ended up having to go buy an outfit for him because I had only packed pj's in the diaper bag...

We took her to Snow Whites wishing well. She dropped a quarter in and made a wish...
She later told me her wish was to meet Snow White...

After hitting a few rides, Sienna informed me she just wanted to meet Snow White... She didn't care about anything else.

Favorite picture of the whole trip... Her face is worth all the money we spent to go.

Savana quickly figured out that she didn't have to walk around as long as she held Sienna in the stroller... I'm wishing I would have come up with this plan...

Love these two boys...
We decided to try out Goofys kitchen... It was fun but I was a little disappointed that they only got to see 3 characters. Alladin, Chip & Goofy... Personally I thought it was way over-priced for that...

End of Day 1... So, So Fun!!!

Disney Day 2

The 2nd day at Disney we only had the cousins with us half the day. We tried to cram as much into the day as possible...
I'm not going to lie, these two characters kind of freaked me out...
So who knew you can't give Minnie Bunny ears. Steve was quickly told this was not allowed.

I don't understand why this kid insists on ALWAYS putting glasses on upside down!
This cookie looked a lot better then it tasted...

My dad posing with our Mickey Bread. People are so dang creative.
So at the conclusion of day two...
Sienna decided she didn't like any of the "dark" rides, but surprisingly LOVED pirates...
Had a complete meltdown when "her Savana" had to leave
Little Man had ANOTHER poop blowout while sitting on Steve's lap during our 3rd trip on "Small World" We ended up having to go back to the hotel for a shirt change for Steve...
And Little Man can pretty much sleep ANYWHERE, ANYTIME...

Disney Day 3

The last day was really fun. The park was pretty empty and we were able to run from ride to ride...

Sienna Loved pixie hollow and loved meeting the fairies, but no matter what character she met, she informed each and every one of them that her favorite was Snow White.
I didn't really like this Tinker Bell... She was kinds of offish which was really unusual for Disney Talent.

Baby Seth was asleep for "Bugs Life" So I decided to put the glasses on the back of his head.

We had to meet the princesses one last time before we left. We almost had a MAJOR meltdown in the middle of Disneyland when she discovered that Snow White wasn't there. It took lots of convincing that she was home making dinner for the 7 dwarfs. She made sure to inform Cinderella, Aurora and Jasmine to tell Snow White hello from her. I felt really bad that we didn't get a picture of  her with Snow White in her dress... I just have this huge problem with letting her wear character things in public. It's a big problem. I hate all character clothes, shoes anything really with cartoons or the likes on it... BUT after seeing her little face every time she saw a little girl walk by with their dress on, I gave in. Really, it's not a big deal and I should have just let her wear it everyday. I have since learned to pick my battles wisely. Just ask the ladies at Kamas Foodtown. She has shown up their everyday we have been home in her snow white getup...

This is how the boys felt about the princess fairy tale land... I love baby Seth looking at Grandpa Seth...

At the end of the trip everyone was exhausted... We had so much fun and I have learned that Disneyland is SO much better when you have kids. Seeing everything through her little eyes was like going to Disneyland for the first time all over again. Since we have been home she has informed us daily that it's time to go back to Disneyland. I also learned that Disneyland is really exhausting. Baby boy slept from 10 p.m. - 11:30 the night we got back. He was exhausted and just happy to be home, back in his own bed.

4.4.2010

We had the best Easter this year...
The highlights included:
2 Easter egg hunts, one at the swimming pool, the other inside mee-mah & Grandpa's House... (A foot of snow puts a damper on the outside Egg Hunt...)
Buying rabbits...
Decorating Eggs
Decorating Cookies
Playing with cousins who were up from Vegas
Discovering baskets on Easter morning...

We ordered one rabbit, then my mom decided she wanted one...
I told her there was NO WAY I wanted to take care of 2 rabbits...
Guess who's taking care of both?
She tried to get the brother from Vegas to take it home...
They don't have the best history with pets, but just look at those kids faces while holding
that bunny. They were so excited.... Let's just say, the bunny is not in the car on it's way to Vegas.
Porter & Savana named their rabbit Patches...
Sienna named hers Dopey ***SHOCKING***
My brother took a cruise for the week so we were lucky to have the kids...
Let's just say the Easter Bunny from Vegas forgot to tell the Easter bunny from Utah that they don't allow gum at their house... The Utah Easter bunny bought a TON of gum. So it was pretty funny, since Brooklyn decided to eat the entire pack in less then a minute, and then swallowed it...
We woke up the past 3 days to lots and lots of snow, my seasonal depression is back.
Luckily for me we leave for the happiest place on earth is less then a week!!!
Aunt Nicki spent the weekend with us again. I know it sucks for her when her husband is out of town,
but I secretly LOVE it because that means she comes and hangs out with us.
Thanks Aunt Nicki for the fun!
