Pumpkin Patch Fun

On Saturday Steve woke up and told me he was taking us to the Pumpkin Patch, lunch and car shopping... I really wanted to take Sienna to the pumpkin patch, not a fake pumpkin patch but a real one. We always did this in Oregon and I wanted to continue with the tradition. We had to drive to Springville and met Nana & Grandpa there. Sienna loved it but wasn't sure about the lady bug costume... We also went and drove new cars... Anyone who knows us, knows that we have drove the same two vehicles since we got married. I just have a hard time wanting to buy a new car... I just hate having a car payment... But the civic has died TWICE in the last month so we figured after 200,000 miles it was time to look for a new car. We're still trying to decide which one we want, but I really want the Ford Edge... Hopefully we'll get a new car within the next month...

I love this picture of Nana looking at Sienna smiling...
She was so happy, up until we put the costume on.
She was eating the corn stalks... YUM!!!
Grumpy Lady Bug... Her cheeks look so chubby here... For the real costume I am painting her little nose black and she will have a tutu on as well...

Crawling & Helping Daddy

I got more film developed and don't fret I asked Steve to find my digital camera... Here's the latest pictures... I really take way to many pictures.Crawling girl...
Getting closer...
Giving a thumbs up on the way to the pool...
She's so busy... Helping dad organize papers. She really looks like she's reading... And I was taking her to bed, that's why she's in the straight jacket. I swear we only put her in that to sleep.

The Fish That Didn't Get Away...

Sunday was a very eventful day. We had a birthday party at my parents house for Nicki and my dad and Steve went fishing. They had been trying to go all week because dad said the river looked amazing... After only fishing for about 45 minutes, they caught quite a few Big Browns... But this one was by far the biggest... It was so cute to see my dad and Steve so excited. They both had huge grins as they showed off the fish. The don't normally keep the fish but had to keep this one because they said Cody would never believe them if they didn't. Steve is going to have it mounted to show off in our house!!! (I am so excited about that...) The fish looks huge next to Sienna... They felt pretty bad that Cody missed out on the fun and that Mat forgot his pole. Maybe next time Cody will take the advice to come now... This is the 2nd time he missed out on awesome fishing.
Grandpa Seth, Sienna & Steve... Sienna didn't know what to think of the slimy thing.
Grandpa Tingey wanted to get a picture with the fish...
Taller then Sienna, and she's actually pretty tall for her age.

We had to measure it...
Look at the grins...
So Proud...
Steve kept telling Paul how huge it was... It is just hard to tell in this picture. That's why he wanted it next to Sienna.
This is my favorite picture of the bunch... It still makes me smile seeing these huge grins on their faces.

Happy Birthday Nickle-Pickle....

Happy Birthday to Nicki... The big 21!!!! She's LEGAL!!!! I asked Nicki if she was going to go buy beer and she just laughed at me. That's what I did when I turned 21... I didn't drink the stuff I just wanted to buy it because I could.

I really can't believe that Nickle is 21! She still seems so little to me. Nicki and I have always been really close. We were pretty much the only ones home from the age of 13 because Cody and Kati were already graduated and out of the house. I feel like I kind of raised Nicki. I would get her up in the morning, do her hair and make sure she was on the bus.

I have so many great memories with that girl... And I'm sure we have so many more to make!!! We love you Nick and Hope you have a GREAT Birthday!!!

The Best Day Ever....

So, the best thing EVER is Happening in UTAH!!!! Let me just say that I have prayed for this to happen for the past 3 years.... So what is this great thing????

THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY IS COMING TO MURRAY!!!!

Yeah, I have already consulted with Tasia and we are planning on being there the day it opens... I don't even know why I love this place so much but I do... And while I'm on the subject of Tasia, I was shopping at Ralphlauren.com today purchasing Sienna's Christmas shoes and I came across this picture of a baby model that looks A LOT like her baby girl Emma... Tell me what you think...

This is the real Emma with her daddy.... (sorry Tasia, I stole the picture off your blog.)
This is the Model Emma... So, of course the real Emma is cuter... But don't they look quite a bit a like??? Ralph Lauren... Here she comes-

The Surgery Was A Success!!!

They put her in these little tiny scrubs... You can't tell in the picture but they were HUGE on her. I had to roll them A LOT...
I just love the picture below... It's from the day that Sienna was born... She has adored her father from the minute that she saw him... I'm pretty sure there's nothing like a father and his baby girl!

The Surgery was a success... Sienna did so good. The night before the surgery Steve gave her a fathers blessing. I'm pretty sure it was the cutest thing I had ever seen. We waited until she fell asleep, but the minute Steve started talking she woke up. She was looking up at her daddy with her big eyes and all of a sudden she made this big sigh noise, to try and get his attention. She usually does that in the morning with me because I put her in bed with me around 6:00 a.m. to feed her and then I fall back asleep. When she wakes up, that is how she gets my attention. So she saw Steve's eyes closed and she was trying to get his attention. I felt pretty good about everything and was pretty grateful I had a cute husband who could put me at ease.
I thought the morning of the surgery would be harder then it was. I wasn't supposed to feed her after midnight and I thought she would freak out in the morning when she couldn't eat. We did a pretty good job of distracting her so all went well. The doctor came into get her and she was all smiles... (poor little thing, she had no idea what she was in for.) She's so busy and has to see everything, so she thought it was great that someone was taking her out of the little room that we were stuck in. The whole thing from the time they took her from me, until the time they brought her back was only 15 minutes... When they brought her back in she was just fine, until she saw me... Then she had a total MELTDOWN!!!! She screamed for about an hour and a half straight... It was really sad. I have never heard her scream that much or that hard!!! It really did break my heart. We took her home and coddled her ALL DAY!!! When she woke up from her nap she was just fine! And it's only been two days and I can already tell that she feels better... So all in all, I'm pretty glad that we did it... Hopefully NO MORE EAR INFECTIONS!!!

Oh No....

Today at the office I was in the back getting some contacts and I came back to find this....
She was crawling around the office like this... Instead of going on her knees... She Is Such a Mess!!!! But a pretty cute mess...
I made brownies this weekend and gave Sienna the spatula to eat... She LOVED it!!!!

Tomorrow is The Day!!!

Tomorrow is the big surgery day!!!! Thank Heavens... This little girl has been so GRUMPY!!! I keep wondering where my sweet baby Sienna went. So all I can say is thank heavens for ENT doctors...This has to be one of my favorite pictures of Sienna... Look at her checking her Aunt Nicki out. She gives me that look quite frequently but I have never captured it before...

This is one of my all time favorite pictures of Sienna... She's just checking Aunt Nicki out, giving her the "Sienna Look". She does this to me ALL THE TIME i've just never captured it before!

I swear Sienna is a bat... She just loves to be upside down...

CRAZY HAIR
I am constantly amazed at the love I feel for my husband when I see him with his daughter. He worships that baby girl and I am so lucky that he loves her as much as I do... He walks in the door and Sienna lights up and she gets so excited. It's funny, in some pictures she looks like me and in other pictures she is so Steve... Especially when she makes her mad face... That's when she looks the most like her daddy!

I'm wishing and Hoping...

So I have been trying to talk my husband into taking me back to Hawaii... It's not going very well... He thinks that just because we lived there means that we never have to go back... So I decided to remind him how great Hawaii was and maybe it will kick his butt into taking me there... We lived there for three months. Steve completed one of his clinical rotations at the Honolulu VA hospital. I have to say it was a pretty AMAZING 3 months! Our house over looked Pearl Harbor and Waikiki Beach. All I did was hang out at the beach all day while Steve worked!!! So here's to Hawaii... And my total wishful thinking...
Steve & Jeremy swimming. One of the highlights of living there was spear fishing. When Jeremy & Paul came over they actually saw a shark... It was pretty funny watching them book it out of the water as Paul was yelling "SHARK" through his snorkel. Another time when Nicki and Todd were visiting we took them spear fishing with us. Todd speared a puffer fish and when Steve saw what it was he was screaming at him to flip it off his spear because they release a toxic substance. So he flips it off and it comes flying in Nicki and my direction... Funny times... I speared a few fish but I mostly just used the spear to poke things on the ocean floor.
Here's a Gecko... I actually had a smaller one that was stalking me. He was upstairs in our bedroom and I made Steve take him outside and in the process of catching him, Steve cut his tail off. Then the next night the stupid thing was back upstairs above our bed taunting me... I think the Gecko above, was named Bob by Nicki... It was weird having those things all over the house. They would hide behind picture frames. I got used to having them around. They were way better then the stinking cock roaches that were EVERYWHERE!!!!
Ruby & Paul in front of the Temple.

Jeremy & Tasia, another Temple shot
These boys look so innocent in this picture... But the wives know better...
Happy Birthday Tasia... I think this was her 20th birthday...
Wow, does he look excited to go to work or what? He had to wear a Hawaiian shirt to work on Fridays.
Paul & Ruby at Pearl Harbor.
Another View from our house.

This is where Tasia almost died... She fell and lost her flip flop. We really almost lost her... The funny thing is, 10 minutes after losing her flip flop the waves flipped it back out to us... I'm pretty sure it was the funniest things I have seen. Tasia was pretty scraped up from almost dying.

Night Time View

Yep, That's my husband... Waikiki Main Street!
Jeremy & Tasia... I'm pretty sure this is when we went and celebrated Tasia's birthday at the Cheesecake Factory...

View from The House... How lucky are we?
So Steve, Can we go back or what????
