When Steve & I were first married and living in Logan, we worked completely opposite schedules. I worked at a pediatric office from 8-5 and Steve worked at the cheese factory from 5- 1 a.m. He also had a full credit load at Utah State University so we pretty much NEVER saw each other. We had a little tradition to head to the 7-11 for a Slurpee after he got off work. Most the time it was our weekly date night. We just didn't see much of each other so we had to "schedule" the time we spent together. So, this week we decided to take a trip down memory lane and hit the 7-11 with Sienna...
I had to document the time. I have to admit when we went into the store I was a little embarassed that people were going to think what a horrible mother I was for allowing my daughter to be up this late.
Steve just wasn't feeling it...
The final product... Her Slurpee, along with a little chocolate.

Aunt Nicki had a break in school and we went and met her in Salt Lake. I wanted to go to the zoo, but unfortunately the stupid snow got in the way. So, we decided to go and check out The Living Planet Aquarium. It was so much fun. Sienna LOVED it. I was really impressed with the place, and I will for sure take her back again. She had so much fun. That night when we got home Sienna was telling Steve all about it and I just wish I would have had the video camera going. She was cracking me up with everything she said... Thanks Aunt Nickle for spending the day with us. She is still talking about it.

This was the SCARY SPIDERS... (She told her daddy all about these in her scariest voice possible.)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cam was able to adopt these tiny chicks after his 1st grade project. Sienna LOVED them and every time Alyssa or Cameron's name comes up she starts talking about the "tiny baby chicks" We are going to adopt a few of these this week... Steve is not very happy about it, but I am getting quite good at taking care of pets... (Our cat had babies this week) After seeing her face light up when she saw these, I just knew we had to adopt a few of our own. Now if Grandpa will go find the heat lamp and other stuff needed to take care of these little things we will be on our way....

We also took Sienna to get her Easter pictures taken. Britney had baby rabbits and baby chicks in the pictures with her... They should be pretty cute! Can't wait to see them.

Look me in the eyes...

I needed to post this picture because it's pretty much the story of my life... Always chasing after this little princess and she's usually never looking back to see if I'm still there.

So, my baby is two... With this comes the terrible two's. If i'm going to be honest i'm pretty sure she's been in the "terrible two" stage since she turned one. I have been trying different ways to communicate with her and try to get her to listen to me. One of the things I have been doing is getting down at her level and saying "Sienna, look at me, look me in the eyes..." It really hasen't been working, and after tonight I am seriously questioning my parenting abilities. She was in the tub and I heard her saying (in a very scary and MEAN voice) "Look at me, Look at me" I peeked in to see what she was doing and she had her baby inches away from her face, repeatedly saying this over and over again! Steve asked her if she was mocking her momma and she just looked at me grinning while shaking her head yes... I am so in for it with this baby girl. My parents are laughing and laughing thanking there lucky stars I got a baby JUST like me.

Sleepy Girl...

I called to check on my Grandparents on Monday to make sure they were doing ok... The first thing that my Nana told me is she has been checking my blog every day and there is nothing new... I felt a little guilty... Now in my defense, my digital camera was dropped in the Provo river last summer and I haven't replaced it yet. I love my "Normal" camera because it forces me to actually get the prints printed but it's not so nice when you're trying to keep up on a blog. Sienna is getting so funny. She comes to the office with us 2-3 days a week. Everytime we pull up to the office she says "mom, I don't yike the office" She is so funny with patients. She greets them when they come in and then she politely asks them to "come on back" to get there eyes checked. I have been teaching her different dances and she loves the chicken dance, I have come to realize that like her singing abilities, she's not the best dancer. I will be looking into dance classes this week. Tonight we were driving home from work and she didn't get a nap today. Right when we dropped off the hill coming to our house, she crashed... I have NO idea how she slept like this. I know the pictures fuzzy, it was taken with my blackberry but she's pretty beat... I don't think her daddy pays her enough for all the work she puts in at the office!

Baby Cora...

Tonight I stumbled upon another blog that has humbled and completely broke my heart...
Please go and read about

BABY CORA

After selfishly celebrating my sweet girls 2nd birthday I was taken back by the
strength this young couple have shown in such a difficult situation.

I CAN NOT imagine the loss of a child. Sienna is such a part of me.
She controls my whole heart.
All I can say is I am headed upstairs to once again, rock & kiss my baby girl and thank my Father-In-Heaven that he has chosen me to raise this sweet spirit.
Thanks baby Cora for reminding me that having a child is a gift...
I am so grateful to know that Sienna was born into my family...

2nd Birthday Party

***Every girl needs to ride a horse with a tutu...***

We had such a great party for Sienna's 2nd Birthday. On her birthday we took her to build a bear and dinner and then had her party the following Sunday. Everyone who loved her was there and she was lucky to have 3 sets of grandparents there... She had both sets of grandparents and her great-grandparents. Thanks to Nana & Grandpa for making the trip up after Nana having cataract surgery and Grandpa having hives all over him. We apprectiate the love that you show our baby girl and feel so lucky to have you in her life. Orginally we were going to have a joint birthday bash with her cousin Porter who shares the SAME birthday as her but they decided not to make the trip from Vegas because Utah is pretty much the breeding ground for RSV! Steve made yummy Italian and we were able to spend time with everyone we love! Sienna loved all her presents and still a week later continues to sing Happy Birthday to herself at least 5 times a day! I got her a new baby doll and the cutest new stroller. She also of course got her Dora bike that was a huge hit! We even have to haul it to the office with us on the days that we are there. Thanks everyone who made it, and those who missed it, we missed you as well. I did not make her cake, I ordered it from the best place ever...
The Sweet Tooth Fairy If you're in Utah county I would defiantly stop and pick up a cupcake or a famous cake bite...

New Bike
Pinata Fun...
Opening presents. She was very spoiled this year! Lots of Dora and Uncle Paul
even picked out a bubble gum machine for her. Nana got her new pans for her kitchen and she makes "noo noo's" daily.
Here's the new stuff she has in her bed...
I just love this picture... All the kids taking over blowing the candles out... Poor Sienna just looked on from behind...

All her peeps... Minus poor Emma who had spent the previous week at
Primary Children's with RSV... We really missed her but made sure to send
a care package to her.
Cameron, Alyssa, Sienna & Oakley
This is Sienna's new Smile... When I say cheese, this is the face she makes
Birthday Cake

Birthday Dinner @ Goodwood. We asked Sienna where she wanted to eat and she picked Goodwood... So not really, but we thought we would go visit Aunt Nicki at work. She made her birthday dinner extra special. Any time Nicki would go to help someone at another table she would Yell, "Hey Nicki, come back..." or "where did Nicki go"
Modeling by her cake. When she first saw it she LOVED it, and then took a bite out of minnie's ear.
On her actual birthday we took her to bulid a bear. She picked a pink monkey, with a shiny sparkle disney princess shirt & bright mini skirt... She also chose pink "croc" shoes, a cell phone and sunglasses to go on her VERY PINK monkey that we named Gerogina...

Thanks Aunt Kath for the cute Birthday shirt.

I just love how curly her hair is... This is straight out of the bath tub.
Make a wish...

Birthday Kisses
