I don't think anyone really checks my blog anymore, but just in case things are a little out of place. Because even thought it doesn't look like I have blogged much, I would go in and write little things to remember all the time but never posted them. Now that I am trying to make the yearly book I have posted all the stories but blogger won't let me add the pictures and the way I posted them are a little out of order!

12.4.2012

Today I have been married 14 years. Crazy. I can honestly say that looking back, I would not change a thing. Even though I met Steve when I was 17 and got married at 18... It worked for us. Now that's not to say I would that if Sienna came to me at 18 and told me she was getting married, I would let her... But really, it worked for us and we have been through so much and have so much love between the 2 of us. I got lucky and am so glad that I found Steve. He's amazing. My kids are amazing. And we really do have such an amazing and blessed life!

9.24.2012

I was snuggling with my little man all nuzzled up under his little neck. The smell of him makes my heart so happy and I told him he was just so delicious I wanted to eat him. He cocked his head like he does and scrunched his little nose like he always does and said "mom, me not a doughnut...." very true little man, you are not a doughnut but even more delicious!

Sienna is learning about Native Americans in kindergarten. We were getting her show and teach ready and I told her that granny (Steve's mom) is actually part Indian. She asked me "well, what does that mean? That she raised daddy like a little Indian boy?"

Things got pretty crazy when Grandpa Jack had his stroke. The day he came home from the hospital we were just running all over the place, plus still running the office. Sienna has dance on Wednesdays that goes from 4:30-7. I was so tired and decided to come home instead of staying at the office and waiting for her like I usually do. (it's right next door) My dad was just leaving salt lake so i asked him if he would stop and pick sienna up from dance on his way home. At about 7:25 I started to get worried because Sienna had not come home yet. Finally after not answering his cell phone grandpa finally answered his house line. When I asked where sienna was he told me he had forgot to pick her up. So I go racing to the studio and pull up to a black studio. All sorts of thought went through my mind. But her dance teacher quickly pulled up and told me she had taken her to her house while trying to call me. When I got to where she was she just burst into tears. "how could grandpa forget abut me again?" unfortunately for grandpa he had "lost" sienna at home depot abut a year prior to this and clearly she has still not let that one go. Sadly the next day the bus went flying past our house and quickly slammed on his breaks seeing that I was waving my arms like a crazy person. In the bus drivers defense sienna does not ride the bus home much because of the office schedule. She comes running off the bus bawling "why is everyone forgetting about me lately?" I can guarantee the bus driver will not forget again!

Sadie is getting so funny and has so much personality! She has just recently learned how to climb onto the kitchen chairs which then turns into climbing on the table. She really feels like hot stuff being up there so she starts dancing immediately and puts her little hands above her head and turns in circles. She doesn't have the best balance so it usually ends with a crash or with mama catching her as she falls off. She also has quite the temper. I really think she has rage issues and she usually has a bruise on her forehead where she throws her head down on the floor whenever she doesn't get what she wants.

9.11.2012

Here are my thoughts on my week... (it's only Tuesday)
- I have the most amazing men in my life!
- jack has been apart of almost half of my life.
- my heart is broken.
- its heart wrenching seeing him process everything that has happened.
- my heart nearly melted when he told me that he had been praying for me to walk through the door all day.
- on his way to the hospital sienna asked him where he was going. When he told her the hospital she informed him that they were going to give him shots there and they were going to hurt. He told her he knew and he would be ok. She quickly informed him that she would come and take them for him.
- when I told little man that grandpa had to go to the hospital he asked me if it was because "his yeg hurt" after I said no not his leg, he then asked if he had to get his teeth fixed.

Sienna & Alyssa did the Body motion summer camp. Sienna loved it and looked forward to going daily. She was darling in her performances but would get so excited when she saw someone she knew.

Thoughts on the eve of sending my baby girl to kindergarten....
I always have said I will never be the momma crying when I send sienna to kindergarten. She is just one of those kids who thrive in social atmospheres. She gets bored with me and bored at home and needs to get out and be with other kids. I have been counting down the hours to sienna going to kindergarten. But as I left her orientation tonight I cried all the way home. She has insisted on riding the bus to school in spite of me trying to convince her to let me take her. She finally caved tonight and told me I could follow the bus to school as long as I "don't bother or distract her". She has repeatedly told Seth that she is starting school but will come home to him every afternoon. I just can't believe that we are starting the whole school thing. I just want so much for her. I want her to be the nice girl. I don't want anyone to be mean to her or tease her. I want her to be nice to everyone no matter what... I am so scared for her. And to be honest I am petrified at all the germs she is going to come in contact with... Steve gave her a blessing tonight and she sat there so big listening to her daddy's words. After she got done she was a little teary. When I asked her if she was crying she told me " no her eyes were just burning." seriously? Wen did she get so big? I will make sure to have sunglasses on tomorrow so I don't " bother or distract her....," ahhhh I am totally freaking out!!!

6.22.2012

A few things... Seth tells me he loves me at least 30 times a day. The conversation goes like this: Mom What? I lub you. I love you too. I lub you too mom. We are potty training. After he finishes he tells me "your welcome" He sing, and he's pretty terrible with no pitch, but so awesome. Sadie is still crawling the army crawl. She is still tiny and fits into 3-6 month clothes.

2.20.2012

We have a crawler... It's more like a push up lunge forward, but she's getting places!

Things to remember:
Little man had a tumor removed 2.3.2012
He has been in a cast for 3 weeks.
On 2.19.212 he decided to try and walk on it. His leg is slightly bent and it looks so uncomfortable. Up until this point he slides on his bum. As he was walking he said "mom, watch me I walking, quickly followed by watch me, I dancing." he really is a terrible dancer . He does this yoga move where he does downward dog and lifts one leg up.
He has been obsessed with monster trucks lately. He gets on you tube and goes from one video to the next.
His favorite things to say is binky, milky, mater... Over and over again.
He is super loving and affectionate, especially since the leg ordeal. He will come up to you and say "I hold you."

5.25.2012

Sienna and I have been having a power struggle the past couple of weeks. Ruby informed me that kids go through this phase right before kindergarten, so we are not as sad to send them to school. Today after one of our epic battles I told Sienna to please leave and go find a new mom... I loaded the other 2 kiddos in the car and left... As she's running down the road screaming at me that she loves me and wants me to be her momma I bravely continued on. My parents only live 305 feet from me, so this is in no way child abuse...  I headed to my parents house to inform my father that if he wanted his grandchild to survive he needed to step in. He was not home and was pulling out of the driveway I see sienna running through all the cows in the field with her new puppy close behind her. When she reached me she informed me that because there was lightning that scared her that is why she couldn't listen to me.. Of course in defeat I loaded sienna and the puppy in the car and proceeded on with my day. Tonight she saw aunt ruby and informed me she wanted her to be her mom... It's a horrible feeling. I'm a terrible momma... Sometimes I think I probably shouldn't have had medical intervention to get her here... I guess heavenly father knew what a horrible mom I am and was trying to spare me... I'm learning, she's going to be my biggest test. I'm just not sure how to keep her independent spirit but still teach her what she needs to know???

5.17.2012

My baby girl graduated from pre-school last night. She was amazing and beautiful. I am amazed at how much she has learned and how poised she is. We went to her kindergarten test today and she did such a great job. I tried to convince her to not know anything so she could get into all day kindergarten but she was not going for it. How did my baby girl get so old.

4.16.2012

Lately Grandpa Seth has been giving me crap about allowing the kids to play outside without a coat on. He would often tell me that I was a "Francis Mother" and that his mom always said only Francis mothers would allow their kids to play outside in the springtime without a coat on. We went to lava this weekend and sienna was sitting on the couch playing nicki's I touch. I walked in the door and my mom said something to me and all of a sudden you hear sienna say "don't call my mom a Francis mother, she hates it when you call her a Francis mother." My dad was dying. Apparently I get a little worked up when called that.Later on Seth woke up in the middle of the night and my mom heard him and went and got him and put him in bed with my dad and her. After a few minutes laying there Seth would say " bampa" "sleeping?" then a train would go by and he would sit up and say "train? Loud...." Grandpa was not impressed with his middle of the night visitor.

4.9.2012

Sadie @ 9 months
wears a size 2 diaper
Can still wear newborn onesies but wears 3-6 month clothes
She got super sick a few weeks ago. First she was hit with the stomach flu and then caught a respiratory infection that required her to be on oxygen for a week.
Has no teeth. I have a sneaking suspicion she will get them all at once.
Loves Seth and gets super excited to see him. She often coughs to get his attention.
She just starting to give kisses.
Still nurses a lot
Will take a sippy cup of almond milk
Crawls all over but still does the army crawl
Loves the kitties
Waves at everyone with her prom wave
Smiles at everyone
Loves to be outside
Has slept through the night the last two night...

Seth update
Has not slowed down since surgery. If you watch closely he will have a slight limp but it's hard to notice.
He thinks everything will eat him... Birds, cows, horses, dogs, raccoons, the Easter bunny
Saw the Easter bunny at wal-mart and flipped out screaming the Easter bunny was going to "eat him" he would not get a picture with him
He was mad this morning when he woke up and the easter bunny didn't come again.
Daily conversation with Seth
Seth what do the coons do
"eat me"
What does daddy do?
"shoot it"
What does mommy do?
"saves me"
We are working on potty training. He's doing pretty good and loved peeing outside on the rocks
Has turned his obsession from mater to monster trucks
He has a lisp. I hope he grows out of this, if not we will need to put him in speech therapy

Sienna Update
She came out of pre-school and informed me she is "so ready for kindergarten"
Teases the heck out of Seth
At times makes Seth laugh harder then anyone else
It's scary the stuff she remembers
Went to Disneyland with mee-mah and grandpa. They surprised her and didn't tell her where they were until they got to downtown Disney she looked at mee-mah and said "I'm confused, I don't know what's going on."
While coloring Easter eggs she told me they were going to be so vibrating

4.6.2012

Today Steve got home from work and noticed that Seth's hair had been cut...
Great mom moment realizing I haven't noticed it...
I started to ask and find out the situation and asked Sienna if she had seen little man cut his hair. She responded with yes. I asked her if she knew where the scissors were and she quickly ran and got them. I keep most scissors hidden for this very reason. I have repeated often that we do not cut hair only mee-mah or someone at the salon cuts hair. Later on, when the kids were in the tub I started thinking about the situation. I asked little man if he had cut his hair... His response "yep" I asked why and he said "cause" I then looked at Sienna who had guilty written all over her face. I had just taken her earlier in the day to get her hair cut and thought it was a little fishy that little man decided to cut his hair the exact same day. I turned to sienna and asked her if she was sure little man cut his hair and not her. She quickly kicked in to drama queen mode and started caring. " I cut it, I just wanted to make it look good." in her defense I have been saying daily that I needed to get little mans hair cut because it looked horrible. I asked her if she had been to school to learn how to cut hair but she just said "no, I just know how to do it better." I was pretty much dying. First of all it actually did look better then it originally looked and 2nd she was just so determined she could do it. After our long conversation about the dangers of scissors, the repeated times I told her she was not to cut anyone's hair ect. I asked her what the appropriate punishment should be for not only cutting her brothers hair, but lying to me. She went on and on about how she didn't know and finally came to the conclusion that she shouldn't get stickers on her chore chart... Sorry sweetie I'm pretty sure that cutting our brothers hair was Not on the chore chart...

3.15.2012

Steve calls Sadie gorgeous. In the morning Seth will come in Sadie's room and say "hey oregeous"

8.24.2012

There are so many things to remember from the first day...
- My girl is beautiful, you just can't deny the fact. When did she get so big?

- We have been counting down the days. In Sienna's world, everything is "45 days" it kills me. In the last week we started with the "4 more sleeps."

-She woke up pretty early and we were ready by 10:30. I told her that she needed to eat something because I didn't want her to be hungry. She told me she was fine and just wanted to go to school.

- We went out to the bus 25 minutes early. Once the bus was in sight, both kids freaked out!

-The night before we had our big back to school dinner. After the dinner Mee-Mah called to tell her she would come over after her school got out and check on her. My mom informed me later that Sienna was nervous because she didn't know how to "read or write" After she got off the phone I asked her why Mee-Mah got to come to check on her and I didn't. She told me after a slight huff, that I could come, as long as I didn't "bother her or distract her."

I also asked her daddy to give her a fathers blessing the night before she started. This was a yearly tradition at my house and I wanted to continue it. This is actually the first fathers blessing that Steve has given Sienna. She looked so big and reverent sitting in the chair while her dad gave her a beautiful blessing. At the end I looked up and she had tears in her eyes. I know at that point my baby girl had felt the spirit as strongly as I had. When I asked her if she was crying she quickly swiped at her eyes and said "no, my eyes are just burning a little."

-She repeatedly told little man that she was just going to school for a little while but would be home in a couple of hours.

- After dropping Sienna off I took Seth to the Chevron for a doughnut and slushie. When I got in the car with one slushie he started freaking out telling me I needed to go back in and get one for Nenna.

-Sienna is lucky because not only does her Mee-Mah teach school next door, but her Aunt Ruby works in her school twice a week. About an hour into school I received a text from Ruby telling me she checked on Sienna and she was a happy girl. Mee-Mah showed up at the end of the day to help the frazzled kindergarten teachers walk the kids to the bus.

Sienna is getting to that point where she does the "fake" smile thing. It's pretty much impossible to get her to smile normally. I told her to pretend like she was laughing... The picture above was the result!
Of course 2 minutes into our photo shoot we had a little creeper who decided to join in on the fun. Seth is also at the fake smile phase... Plus to add to his smile he had taken a bright yellow marker and drew all around his mouth.

I put Sadie into the picture. My favorite part is her death grip on her hot dog... If you know my Sadie at all this will be no surprise. The girl likes her food. Unfortunately about 2 seconds later, Ruger quickly swiped the hot dog from her little hands... There was quite the meltdown that occurred.

My dad made these cute chalk boards for my moms class. I'm not going to lie, I spent 45 minutes the night before making the two signs. It was a little ridiculous! I can't help but be so grateful for the amazing place that we live. Holy crap is it beautiful up here. Luckily for us we will hopefully be building our own house just to the right and behind that little  chicken coop sooner rather then later!

She didn't even look back... A little hard for this mama to take!

Oh Little Man... Did you have to inherit the constant "Sargent Scowl" from your daddy?

After calling my little sister bawling about the traumatizing day I had sending my baby to school, she and Kaiya drove up from Ogden to console me. The kids were thrilled to go meet Sienna at the end of the lane. Sadie thought she was pretty hot stuff walking down the lane by herself. I usually strap her into the stroller when making this little trek.
Oh baby princess. Can you please stop growing for a minute?
When Sienna got off the bus Seth was beside himself. Sadly for him his sister was a little more excited at seeing Kaiya then him. After several attempts at getting his sisters attention he finally just yelled "Nenna, Hugs, NOW"! I was rolling, apparently this whole sister in school thing is a little too much for him. He would NOT take a nap for me the first day and kept peeking his head out asking if nenna was home yet.

 - Tonight I made chocolate dipped strawberries and little man informed me that they were licious.
- While trying to convince Seth that I was his favorite Sienna chimed in asking Seth "which parent is our favorite?

1.18.2012

A few funny things.
Seth now refers to himself as mater. At the hospital when the nurses would ask his name he would quietly whisper "mater"

Mee- mah has been picking sienna up from the office. We came home and she told me she watched the best movie called oil. It had a girl named sandy and a boy named Danny. It took me a minute but finally figured out she watched Greece....

Sadie @ 6 months
- She smiles all the time.
- Still likes her brother but not too close.
- She is starting to get a "Seth" scream.
- She loves to reach her little hand out to touch your face.
-She's doing my all time favorite thing which is to reach her little hand up for kisses while nursing.
-At her 6 month check she only weighed 14.2 pounds 15% for weight and 50% for height.
-She is becoming mobile. She is doing the scoot belly crawl by pushing off of her left leg
-She loves blowing bubbles
-Loves the bath
-Wears a size 2 diaper and 6-9 month clothes
-Is not doing great on the sleeping through the night. She's proving to be super stubborn.
-I can't seem to get her on a schedule which doesn't sit well with this super schedule mama.
-She still will NOT take a bottle but I did leave her for a whole 5 hours with her daddy now that she is eating -solids.

5.1.2012

Sienna learned how to ride her bike without training wheels on Saturday. Steve worked with her for maybe 30 minutes last week and she just made up her mind and came running into the house informing me she was riding her bike without "stabilizers"
