~Happy Easter~

I love Easter... I don't know what it is about it, I just love it. We had a great day today decorating Easter Eggs, going on a walk to the bridge. Also, after Sienna went to sleep, the Easter Bunny came. I have to say that the daddy easter bunny pulled together the ENTIRE basket... The mommy easter bunny had NOTHING to do with it... How cute is that??? When I saw the shoes he picked out it made my heart swell... He sure is a great Easter Bunny!

Of course she won't Sit in her stroller, she has to stand... Don't worry we quickly buckled her after the picture...
It has become a nightly tradition to walk to the bridge by our house. Sienna loves to go look at the "ishys"
My two favorite people!
Steve takes her down to the river to throw rocks in. She always tries to actually go swimming in the river... Maybe in the summer!

Easter bunny Sunglasses
She would stir the dye and then hurry and put it in her mouth thinking I wouldn't notice.
Tasting the egg

Look at that hand... She would reach her little hand in to pull out the egg. I am happy to say after taking her swimming the dye did come off!
She was completely worn out by the end of Easter Egg Dipping
The finished product... By the end of this little project we had 9 cracked eggs.
These are the little shoes that daddy easter bunny picked out.
Sienna's Easter Basket. This is way better the last years basket. Last year she got Mylicon and binkies.

Dear Uncle Mat....

Dear Uncle Mat,
Sienna found Steve's graduation present tonight. Looks like she's hitting the bottle pretty hard. Thank you for making our baby girl an "Alci"
Love,
Steve & Staci
***Please note that there is not actual alcohol in the flask... Just a little fruit punch!***
**I thought I better throw that out there in case someone reported me to social services.**

WOO-HOO The Temp hit 50!!!

The minute the temperatures got above 40, we were outside. Sienna now goes over to the door pointing telling me "OUT" very sternly. I have a feeling we will be spending the majority of our days outside, which is totally fine with me. We walked across the street to the park to see how much snow was covering the playground, and there was a lot more then I thought there would be. It looks like the swings will make an appearance in July, maybe August. We had a fun day out on Sunday. Sienna had not been feeling good on Thursday and Friday, just a little cold mixed with teething, so getting outside felt really nice. Also, Sienna was able to wear her brand new coat she got from Aunt Robin for her birthday. She also had on her matching pink camo bows that Aunt Robin ordered for her as well. The coats a little big but will be perfect for next year!
Sienna loved the river, she kept pointing at it saying "ishy" for fishy.
Daddy showing her his secret fishing spot. Hope Uncle Cody's not reading this to find out where it is.

I love the coat, she looks so tiny.

We also spent a good portion of the day breaking up the ice that was in front of our house. Every time I would go to put Sienna in the car I would slip underneath the car. It was a serious safety hazard and took Steve pretty much the entire afternoon to break and move out of the way. There was so much freaking ice is was ridiculous.
Her favorite thing to do is find any wet spot and run through it. I see a lot of puddle jumping in our future.
Riding her new bike.
That is some crazy hair. We wanted to show Aunt Kath that every baby has crazy hair.

The Birthday Cake Story...

So a lot of people asked if I made Bienna's Cake. I did not make the cake. I bought it from a little bakery in Midway. There's a pretty cute story that goes along with the cake. I knew what I wanted and ordered the cake a week in advance. The lady told me I could pick it up Saturday AFTER 4p.m. and they would be open until 6p.m. After we got home from the office Saturday I ran up to pick the cake up. When I got there they were all closed up. It was around 5:45 on Saturday night and I sat in the parking lot crying because there would be no cake! (Yes, I know where my daughter gets the drama queen in her from, please don't remind me again that she gets this quality from me!) I called the number listed on the door and told the answering machine that I was there to pick the cake up but nobody was there. Feeling low and devastated I called Steve bawling, telling him that the party was going to be terrible because I didn't have a cake for her. Steve, being the cute husband that he is, sends me to the store to pick up some stuff. By the time I got home he already had the egg whites sitting in a bowl (Apparently they had to sit out for 30 minutes) and he was ready to put together a home made vanilla cake. We sat down together and decided on making a lady bug cake with butter cream frosting. Steve then sent me BACK to the store to pick up black licorice for the antennas and the little thing you use to put frosting in it to decorate the cake. It's like 8 pm now and Steve is pretty much finished making the batter for the cake and had picked out the perfect glass bowl to bake the cake in so the body of the lady bug would have a perfect circle, when the phone rings and I recognize the number as the bakery shop. The ladies daughter had a ballroom dance competition and left a little early but asked if I could come up right then and pick the cake up... So I did, and the party went on and Sienna LOVED her cake. The home made cake Steve made sat on the counter undecorated. But really it was the effort that counts. I am still amazed that my husband knew how to make a cake from scratch and was willing to stay up for who knows how long decorating the cake, just so his princess would have the perfect 1st birthday party!!! And really, who actually follows the instructions and leaves the egg whites sitting on the counter for precisely 30 minutes??? Man how I love that boy!!! Let's not forget that he did want me to work while he went to culinary school.

The Big Birthday Bash

We had Sienna's birthday party today. It was so much fun. She had so many people there who loved her and we had good food and good conversations. These are just a few pictures I took with my camera. My professional photographer (who I owe a lot of money too.) took better pictures but I wanted to share these ones tonight. Thanks everyone who came and supported the little princess. We had so much fun!Getting a kiss from the daddy.
Kati got better pictures of the whole cake eating experience. She decided to put her foot in the cake. She had frosting all over her foot. It was so cute. I thought she would actually dive into the caking smearing in everywhere but she was actually pretty mellow. She would stick her little finger in it then lick it. She did much better with the cupcake. I think there were just too many people there and it was just a little overwhelming for her.
I'm not really sure why she had such a grumpy face?
Riding her new bike from Mee-mah & Grandpa
Mooching food off of Uncle Paul
Not a very good picture, but I was trying to take it off the t.v. On her birthday she was on Good Things Utah.

This is the present that we got for Sienna. She played on one at her cousin Alyssa & Cam's house and I knew I had to get one for her. We gave it to her on Wednesday and I can't get over how much she loves it. This morning I was busy in the kitchen cooking and I couldn't see where she was. Steve had pulled her chair up in front of the t.v. and she was slouched down enjoying cartoons. It was so cute.

We had to work on Sienna's actual birthday so when we got home we gave Sienna a cupcake and let her go to town. She loved it!!! I just wanted to kiss that little frosting face over and over again. I can't get enough of her!
She was attempting to share with me.
Smooshing it in her face.

Showing off her 1st birthday shirt.
I LOVE these two pictures. She does this all the time with Steve. She snuggles her little butt up to her daddy and lays in the crook of his arm watching basketball on t.v. It just melts my heart!
I love that her little leg is all bent in this picture. I am just so lucky!
