The black eye in the picture was suppose to come after the Christmas post, but since I can't find the Christmas film, I threw it in here... On Christmas day she was hit in the eye with the WII remote while her cousin was playing tennis... It was so sad and she had the best little shiner ever. Savana felt horrible but really it was my fault for letting her run around in front of her. We spent the Saturday after Christmas tubing behind our house. The kids loved it... Well, maybe not LOVED it, but I loved it... That is one of my favorite things to do. From the first snowfall I wanted to get out there and get thrown off the tube...

This week has been a trying week in the Sargent household. My almost 2 year old has become the little sass... Now some of you will say she has always been this way but I swear she's getting sassier... (Not sure if that's a word but just go with it...) I went to get baby girl out of her crib from her nap and I walk into her buck naked!!! She is jumping up and down yelling "mom, I naked" pretty sure I wouldn't have missed that little detail but whatever... So since she wanted to be naked... (and quite honestly this is becoming a BIG problem... She always wants to be naked, at the office there were 3 teenage boys in the waiting room and Sienna was stripping all her clothes off... We have had several discussion on keeping our clothes on but she's just not going for it... I really have no idea where she gets this from, it's so weird... HE HE) Anyways, since she was naked I thought we would go with the potty training. She has showed a little interest in it so I decided to try it... She has done so well! I am so proud of her. The only problem is, I can't find any underwear to fit her tiny little bum. Tonight she came downstairs after singing the elmo "you can use the potty song" in her crib for 45 minutes and stripped her clothes off. She went on the potty and was playing in her new favorite toy, a box from my dads new smoker, and she had a little accident in the box. I sat her on the steps to talk about it and told her that she needs to use the potty, not the box... I kept asking her where she needs to go and she kept saying in the cutest voice "I don't know" and then would say mom I want to hold you and then kiss me. That is her ploy when she is trying to get of trouble. Just wanted to document that, sorry if it was long... So all in all potty training is going really well. I'm not really pushing her, just letting her take it at her own pace.

Thanksgiving 2008

Here's the Thanksgiving 2008 rundown... We spent Thanksgiving day with my family. It has usually been the tradition to spend Thanksgiving with my side & Christmas Eve with Steve's family. The main reason I insisted on Thanksgiving with my family is all about the BEEF!!! Yep, in our house hold be have Prime Rib for Thanksgiving, not Turkey (after all... Turkey is fowl) It was a pretty mellow Thanksgiving and I loved spending time with my parents & Grandparents. I just feel so blessed to have them in my life. Sienna loves going to "nana's" house. She found so many things to play with & Nana even broke out moms barbie. After dinner Sienna grabbed her blankie and went and snuggled up to Grandpa Tingey. I thought my grandpa was going to melt right then. After the great beef we went to the Sargent household for dessert. Sienna always tries to act like a big kid and wants to be in the middle of everything. While all the kids were upstairs, Aunt Angie was sitting on a chair watching them and Sienna came over and grabbed her hand. She pulled on her & Angie figured she wanted her to come & play with her and she thought how cute that was... Sienna on the other hand had other plans... Once she got her out of her chair she ran over to it, climbed up in it and just grinned at her. Her new thing is everthing is "Sienna's" She will go get my shoes and inform me they are Sienna's. Grandpas chair is Sienna's... I love it. She is so Vocal right now and I am amazed at how much she says... She quite the singer as well, but unfortunetly she takes after her mom & doesn't sound too great... But she sure tries... She sings many songs but her favorite is "Womanizer" She also really likes Bitchy Bitchy spider & twinkle twinkle little star but she sometimes gets them mixed up and sings her own version of both songs. She's also become quite the little people reader. I got sick last week and was laying on the couch not moving much and she kept coming up to me saying "ok momma" and kissing me... I swear, melt my heart. And tonight my dad was on the phone & he was a little upset and she kept coming up to my mom asking if grandpa was okay. I didn't realize how much kids pick up on. I swear she is the smartest kid ever, but then doesn't every parent think their kid is the smartest???

After the whole Las Vegas nightmare we decided to try one more time with the whole picture taking issue... This time it went better... Minus Sienna's shiner. Poor little thing got nailed in the face with the Wii remote while Savana was playing tennis. It was so sad... BUT with a little makeup you can't even tell. I have to say my parents have some pretty dang cute grand kids!!!

Ho Ho Ho

Grandma Jill had a Christmas party the Sunday before Christmas. She was nice enough to invite her adopted kids. Sienna had a blast and was re-introduced to Ho Ho... She did a lot better then I thought she would. She didn't really LOVE him, but she didn't cry. It was a great party... Thanks Grandma Jill...

Las Vegas NIGHTMARE!!!

My beautiful baby girl who was so sick!!! She looks so sad and worn down...

So this picture pretty much sums up the Vegas trip... She looks a little yellow, and looks totally wasted!!!

Here's a re-cap of the trip:

Monday: Had surgery to remove crap in my uterus...
Wednesday: Flew out to Vegas... (Luckily my dad decided to fly with me after the whole surgery removal thing... This was a last minute procedure and not the best timing, to say the least...)
Thursday: After no sleep the night before we get the kids ready for pictures. We drive to Lake Las Vegas and wait at the place where we are suppose to meet the photographer! The shoot is suppose to start at 3:00... We wait, the kids look adorable, they are in really good moods, the weather is perfect... We wait some more... I finally call, she tells me she had it scheduled for the following Saturday... WTF??? I become completely emotional, I feel like crap, the only reason I have gone to Vegas is for this photoshoot, the girl ends up bailing on us... We end up finding a photographer that will come the next day to take the pictures... Head home, get home Sienna pukes all over me...
Friday: We are suppose to fly out at 12:30 but change our flights to get the pictures taken. After another night of NO SLEEP for me or baby girl, I get her up to get ready to meet Nana & Grandpa for breakfast and she throws up AGAIN... All over the front of me... Strip her down, throw her in the tub, get her dressed again... More puking... Same thing, down the front of me... At this point both of her "blankies" have throw up all over them so I throw them in the wash and wait the longest 45 minutes of my life until the blankies are clean... I put her down for a nap praying she will wake up happy... We once again drive to Lake Las Vegas to meet the new photographer... She shows up, started the shoot... Sienna's ticked. She feels like crap and wanted nothing to do with cooperating... We tried group shots with the other grand-kids and it's a no go... Savana decides to trip and scrape her self up and then decides she only wants to get her pictures taken "sitting down". Porter is in his own little world, doing who knows what, Brookie and Sienna are TWO, Enough said... So I think that if I put her in her tutu for her two year old pictures she might get a little more excited!!! NOPE!!! We got exactly ONE shot of her in her tutu...
So all in all it was a wasted trip...

BUT... We had fun hanging out with Cody & Kath and the kids...(Well maybe I should clarify that statement since I only actually saw my brother maybe a total of one hour... He's one busy boy!) I ate at an amazing Italian restaurant and Kath bought me cupcakes from the "Cupcakery" which were amazing!!! So... Hopefully our next attempt at pictures will go better. I am hoping to at least get one good shot of her in her Christmas dress... So we will attempt that tomorrow... Wish me luck!

My brother is the lawyer for Lake Las Vegas so we were able to take the kids over to get pictures taken there... Out behind the Ritz Carlton they had this HUGE Christmas tree and lights everywhere. It was amazing and so much fun!!!

We told Sienna repeatedly to stay out of the water... This is how much she listens... I think she has a little bit of her mama in her in regards to water...

I love this picture of Brookie... Grandpa wanted to get pictures of the kids in their Utah's Own shirts for his new blog the babies didn't want to cooperate AT ALL... But Brooke sure looks cute here!

I can't wait for Hawaii... Sienna is going to flip when she sees the ocean!!!

Thursday is my 10 year wedding anniversary!!!
Tonight I fell in love with my husband all over again...
He was upstairs letting his daughter paint his toe nails...
I feel so lucky I have them both!
AND...
I've talked the Hubby into taking me to Kauai...

Less then two months away... WOO WOO!!!

On a side note, Sienna was in the bathtub tonight singing-

Is it bad if you're almost two year old is singing
"Womanizer, womanizer, womanizer, womanizer You you you are, you you you are, womanizer womanizer womanizer baby???" She repeated it perfectly!
Maybe Britney Spears is something I need to put on the back burner for awhile...
After the whole Bitchy Bitchy Spider thing, I have got to get them BOTH on video...
