I hope we make the Police Blotter

This is a picture after it had burned down quite a bit. When the fire department showed up the flames were ABOVE the highest tree in the picutre.
Fuzzy pictures but you get the idea...

We had these really nasty bird house that have been sitting behind our house for the last year. They were so gross and filled with who knows what kind of diseases. We had Uncle Paul come and knock them down this week and then Steve decided to have a massive bon fire on Friday night... NOTE TO SELF IN THE FUTURE... Call the County before you decide to have a fire that big. Sienna and I left to go pick up pizza and by the time we returned the Summit County Fire Department was there in all there glory. The Woodland truck showed up first but they had called in the Kamas, Oakley & Coalville trucks to come help. Luckily they cancelled the other trucks when they realized the fire was actualy under control. Steve got chewed out pretty good by the Fire Marshal who was actually a really nice guy. He informed us that you can't burn any type of structures because of the air quality control issues. He told us that if the guys from that unit showed up the minimum fine would start at $10,000.00. We were lucky and he let us off with an "educational moment" warning. Steve was smart enough to throw a little brush on top of it so they considered it a "Brush Fire" I thought it was actually pretty funny. Sienna thought it was fabulous having a few fire trucks parked in our front yard. The best part was when the fire marshal was asking if he had any brothers that lived in Peoa... Apparently, Paul & the fire marshal are pretty close friend as well, after he had to hike in to bust Paul for burning up on the hill. My only hope out of all of this is that we make the Police Blotter... That's my favorite part of the Summit County Bee. I know i've said this before, and I do believe my husband is pretty smart but I question his intelligiance more times then not. BUT... In his defense, he did have the garden hose out hosing down everything around it and hosing down our roof, just in case any sparks got out of control!

Boys Fishing Trip 2009

The boys went on their Annual Fishing Trip to Southern Utah over mother's day weekend. After hearing all about what a great trip Steve and my dad had last year, my brother Cody & his friend Keith decided to drive up from Vegas and join in on the fun. They had so much fun and caught tons of fish. They have already booked for the same weekend next year and plan to get video footage next time. I heard all about the trip and I think the best one liner of the trip was Cody informing everyone that his "Arm was tired" while trying to reel in the fish... What a wimp. The winner for the weekend was defiantly "Grandpa Seth" catching the monster fish!!!!

We are going Green...

We've been really busy working outside the past few weeks. Ever since we lived in Oregon, we got a little spoiled with fresh vegetables... So.... We are building a greenhouse. My dad and Steve have been working really hard! This was taken last week and they have the roof on now and it's looking pretty good. We hope to have everything planted by this weekend... We had to go steal a few pieces of wood from Grandpa Jack's mill last Saturday... Man that place is mud heaven for kids!

Baby Kitties

This is the only cat that can't get away from Sienna fast enough...
She LOVES these kitties so much!
I'm not really a pet person... BUT I would much rather feed cats then have mice!
We have 5 new kittens all together. She loves them all!
BUT...
Spit Fire is her favorite! That's the one that hisses at her everytime she goes to pick him up!

a rush of emotion to be back where we belong!

We have new baby kitties.
Sienna LOVES them!

My Nana told me last night I was being a lazy blogger...

Flashback...

I wanted to do a little flashback to High School... Heather did it and Tasia & I were talking about how much we loved it when other people did this... So here are some of my High School scrap book pages... Keep in mind these were made a long time ago... Hope you enjoy and laugh at them as much as I did... Next up is Steve's flashback pages in all his Mullet glory!

Zoo Fun

Steve was out of town last week so I decided I needed to take Sienna to do something fun. We called Tasia & Emma and invited them to to the zoo. We got there early in the morning so they had just fed the animals. We had lots of fun and I have to say going with Tasia is my perfect partner. We were in and out within an hour and a half...

When you ask Sienna what her favorite animal is that she saw, she says the Giraffes...

Riding the train... Sienna wanted nothing to do with me. She just wanted to sit by
Aunt Tasia!

I'm so grateful to have these two in my life. Tasia & Emma are so great and Sienna & Emma are so cute together. They will be in the same class & I hope they will be friends forever!
Emma was brave and would pose with the Animals. Sienna wanted nothing to do with them. I think we traumatized her when we took her to the rain forest cafe in Vegas.
