DISNEYLAND 2007

WARNING!!!! I have never posted this many pictures in one post... I was going to make a slide show but then remembered that the only reason I am doing this blog, is to get it printed into a book at the end of the year... So here is the trip in pictures!!!

The Disney Trip is OVER!!! It was such a great trip but I have to say, I was pretty excited to get back home. We left Thursday. Sienna did such a great job on the plane. I was very surprised. I figured I was going to have to wrestle her the entire trip, but she just fell asleep and slept most the flight.

Kati's kids were so cute when they found out we were going to Disneyland. They didn't really believe it for the longest time. I don't think that it really sunk in until we got on the plane. Ryan is the funniest little boy EVER!!! He said so many funny things but the highlight's were...

We had to take a shuttle to Disneyland everyday and Ryan came up with that... So we just called it the Shittle for the rest of the Weekend. It was a lot funner to say. That kid talks and talks and talks... The things that he comes up with cracks me up. It was fun to see Disneyland through their eyes.

Nana & Grandpa were amazing!!! My Grandpa went on every single ride. Including the roller coasters, Tower of Terror and pretty much anything that was fast or dropped you... How many people can say that their Grandpa went on every single ride at Disneyland?

Overall I was just glad to spend time with the family. It's very rare that we are ALL together. I am just so grateful to have such a fun family. Thanks Nana & Grandpa for the great trip. We loved it.

In Front of Sienna's favorite ride... It's a small World. Grandpa Seth even learned to like it because he loved to watch Sienna looking at every little detail. The things that were hanging from the ceiling she would tilt her head so far back she almost fell over. Very cute!!!

By the last day of Disneyland Sienna was done... We woke her up at 6:00 a.m. to be there for early entry and by 10:00 this is what happened... She NEVER falls asleep anywhere but her bed... She was exhausted. We got home yesterday and today we both took a four hour nap, then she fell back asleep for another 3 hours... Tough life, I know!!!

I think this picture is one of my favorites. Ryan & Porter wanted to ride in the bumper cars together but they wouldn't let them. So, Great Grandpa jumped in with Ryan. Grandpa had a grin on his face the entire time and Ryan thought it was great to have him help drive.

Sienna was crowned the Princess of the Carousel. Steve and I were not there when it happened so we had to go back and go on it again with her. My mom was with her when she was named the Princess and they announced her as Princess Sienna to everyone on the carousel and they all clapped and bowed to her... It was very cute and she loved the crown and all the attention... (Again, So Weird!!! NO IDEA where she gets that from.)

After the first day we ate at an AMAZING Italian restaraunt. The food was so good but the service sucked!!! So, Kati complained and got us gift cards which we plan on using for our Anniversary next week.

Kati made these Minnie Mouse ears for Haleigh. Seriously her talent AMAZES me... You should have seen the Minnie Mouse shirt she made. Hopefully she'll post a picture on her blog.

We took this picture at Bug Land... We can't pass up taking a picture in front of anything by John Deer! Bug Land was one of Sienna's favorites. But she DID NOT like the Bug Life 3-D show. When they blew air in her face she started crying.

Walking down the corridor to the airplane. She was such a good baby the ENTIRE trip. But she would not let go of that Minnie Mouse we bought her. When I went to pay for it and took it away from her, she had a COMPLETE meltdown!!! So Great trip... Good Times... Can't wait to do it again!!!

Pheasant Hunting

We went Pheasant hunting in Nephi this past weekend. We went with Uncle Paul, Aunt Ruby and Cameron. The night before the hunt Steve came home with a new camo outfit from Cabelas. He was so excited to see Sienna in it... The weather was so nice and warm that she didn't end up wearing it, but she sure looked cute!!!We had to wake her up at 6:45 to get ready to go... She wasn't to sure she really wanted
to go!!!

We shot about 20 birds all together... 5 pheasants and 15 chuckers... When I went to shoot I forgot how much a shotgun kicks and I almost landed on my butt from the kick!!!

But I have to say hands down that Uncle Paul is the favorite Uncle... Sienna LOVES him... If he walks into the room she has to go to him... If we take her away from him she just starts crying... SO FUNNY!!! I think it has a little to do with him looking like her daddy!!!

The Accident that almost was...

So I really wanted to get pictures to go along with this post... But we are not going to Kamas for a couple of days so I will have to add them later... So now that it has been a few days and the dust has settled from the traumatic event, I can write about it... Here's what happened!

The Civic died again so we were borrowing my dads truck... Let me just state that in the past month and a half the Washer, Dryer, Laptop computer, office computer, truck and Civic have all broke down... On Tuesday night I told Steve that the truck was acting a little funny and making a weird noise. He was planning on driving it home the next night to see if he could figure out what was going on. The following day Sienna and I were driving to the office. When we started going down the hill off the Jordanelle the tire decided to come off... I'm not talking about the tire blowing out I'm talkin the whole entire wheel and rim came off... I was going pretty fast about 60-65 miles per hour... I'm no exactly sure how I got control of the huge truck but by some miracle I was able to get it stopped.... A guy who was coming in the opposite direction as me saw it happen and turned around to come and help me. When he got there I was shaking and crying so bad I couldn't even get Sienna out of the truck. He told me that he was shocked I didn't roll the truck and that he was just waiting for the truck to flip over. The rim that was holding the tire on somehow cracked in half and I grinded the roater down about an inch in the process of stopping. When the tow truck guy came to get the truck he told me that I should count my lucky stars that I was still alive... I just can't imagine what I would have done if something happened to Sienna... It was so freaky... I have only been in one other accident prior to this and that is when I totaled the car while putting lotion on my legs and drove into the ditch. That wreck was pretty scary but this one beat it! When you have a tiny little person in the truck depending on you to take care of them everything seems that much worse!
So that is my story... It may not seem that scary but let me tell you, when that rim popped off and the truck started shaking so bad I don't even know how I did it... The guy that helped me told me that he was SHOCKED that a woman took such control of the vehicle like that... Personally I don't think I had anything to do with it... After that happened the song "Jesus take the Wheel" kept running through my head over and over again... I NEVER want to experience that again... Good thing I'm going to primary!!!

Thankful

So this past Sunday I had to teach a Sharing Time Lesson on Being Thankful for our Families.
After the VERY HORRIBLE day that I had... (I can't really go into details on what happened right now... Every time I think of it and think how worse it could have been I start crying and get really sick to my stomach... So I will save that for another day...) But getting back to my point. It's very important to tell you're family how Thankful you are to have them. While preparing for my lesson I found a quote.

So even though this applies to younger kids, I think it holds true to when you get older. So since I almost died today... (And No... I'm not being Staci Dramatic) I want to say a little thank you...

Thank you to my husband, who loves me for who I am... Who can handle and calm me down like no one else can do!!!

Thank you do my Daddy... He's pretty much the most amazing man on this planet... How did I get so lucky to get a father like you?

Thank you to my mom... I am so proud of you for finishing school... You really will be a great teacher... Even if I get annoyed by hearing you say that you are going to "FAIL" a test when we all know you'll get an "A"...

Thank you to My big Brother Cody... Thanks for being you... You sure make cute kids!!! I'm thankful that we went to school in Oregon together... We'll never have those times again to hang like we did while being POOR college students...

Thank you to my sister Kati... You're a great big sister. You do so many things... I will never be able to repay you for all that you have done... And You make cute kids!!!

Thank you to my Baby Sister... You are my best friend. You know I love you and even though I threw you away when you were little, I'm pretty glad that you're in our family...

Thank you to my Grandparents who worry all the time... I can't imagine having a life with out you. How lucky was I to have such attentive Grandparents?

But thanks to my Brother-in-law Mat and Sister-in-law Kathryn... My siblings got so lucky to find such perfect matches...

So like I told my Primary Kids... Tell you're family how Thankful you are to have them... Leave them a little note, do something nice... Just MAKE SURE TO TELL THEM!!! Because ANYTHING can happen...

So as long as Kati was high jacking Staci's blog, I thought I would do the same. I'm pretty sure this is the cutest video I have ever seen. I got it on my NEW CAMERA (thanks fam) today at Chilies. Staci, Sienna and I decided to go the the Cheesecake Factory today for lunch. YEAH RIGHT! It's the second day it has been open and it was a 2 HOUR WAIT! We waited for what seemed like ten hours only to discover it had only been thirty minutes. We got bored and said "Peace out!" So off to Chilies! You can't take Sienna anywhere if you want to get anything done. Staci and I went shopping in Park City a couple weeks ago and I took of the job of pushing Sienna in her stroller. Ummm let's just say I didn't walk more than three feet into any store without getting stopped so people could stare and freak out over how cute she is. I didn't get ANY shopping done. I just started claiming her as my own and answering all the questions as if she were my daughter! This was the case today at lunch. I don't think one person walked by without making a comment. Our waitress even sent other waitresses out to see how cute she was. As you can see in this video she was having a really good show off day. I love my baby Sienna!!

One Year Ago...

One Year Ago.... I learned that the baby I was carrying was a girl... We thought for sure it was going to be a boy... We called it a boy from the beginning... Needless to say, we were a LITTLE shocked!!!

One Year Ago... I finally let myself believe that the baby I had been carrying for 5 months was actually going to make it here... (before the 5 month mark we didn't talk much about the baby)

One Year Ago... My older sister through me the most amazing baby shower with all the people who have known me since I was a little girl... Helping solidify the fact that this baby was actually going to make it here...

So tonight on my drive home from Provo, a song came on the IPOD that stopped me in my tracks... Let me give a little back story. The path to bringing Sienna into this world was a little tough. Steve and I have been married 9 years this December... We have REALLY tried for a baby for 7 of those years... After losing 5 babies I never thought one little girl could erase all the pain and suffering we had gone through. People say that the trials that you go through always happen for a reason and you learn from each of those trials... I'm still not sure the lesson that I learned from all the losses, but I do know that I love this baby girl more then anyone can even imagine... After each loss the hardest thing for me to do was tell my little husband. To look into his face and tell him the news pretty much killed me every time. For those of you who don't know Steve very well, you should know he was born to be a father. I know secretly how bad he was hoping for a boy. He wanted a little Steve-O running around. He wanted to take him fishing and hunting and teach him how to play sports and do all the things that he loved to do... So when we found out it was a little girl, we still didn't believe it was really going to come out a girl. Sargent boys are really good at making boys but not too many girls. Steve didn't seem disappointed about the news but I knew deep down he was a little bummed about the outcome. So tonight, driving home the Carrie Underwood song "All American Girl" came on. After hearing the first line of the song I broke down crying. My baby girl was sleeping next to me and I looked over at her and couldn't believe that the song playing on the radio fit so well... So after that emotional night I just have to say that I am glad we got this baby girl. She really is the center of Steve's world. From the beginning when I was still pregnant with her, he would walk in the door and start talking and she would start kicking... I was told that when she was born and Steve started talking she turned her head and looked up to find her daddy... She knew that voice... The voice that talked to her every night while in my belly... The voice who will protect her and guide her through her entire life and worship the ground that she walks on... Because those of you who have seen Steve with his Sienna... You know that she has him wrapped around her little finger!!! How lucky am I... I feel so BLESSED! And She was for sure WORTH THE WAIT!!!
