Birthday Photo's

I took Sienna to get her pictures taken for her 1st birthday party invitations... We went to the Springville Art Museum and my very talented sister Kati took the pictures. They turned out so well that I can't pick my favorite. I am planning on putting 4 pictures on the invitation... Any suggestions?

These are my favorite candid shots... Haleigh was walking so Sienna grabbed onto her sweatshirt and went a long with her. I don't think Haleigh was very happy about that.

Blowing Kisses

These two will be the best of friends. At least Haleigh acknowledges her presence.

Big Week in The Sargent House...

This was a great week... Our baby girl is walking... I guess not Officially walking, but pretty close... She took 13 steps, we were so proud. She still crawls a lot but also gets up and attempts to walk a few times a day... We are a month away from her first birthday. I didn't think it would affect me as much as it is. I just can't believe we have had her for a year... CRAZY!!! I also got the pictures back from Grandpa Seth's Birthday Party... We had so much fun (if you erase the part about wrecking my new car)

Sienna LOVED the chocolate cake...
She is always sitting on something.
After I got out of the shower I came downstairs to find her sitting in her toy basket...
She really likes baskets!

Yes, I know she looks a little White Trash in her diaper, but this is the official first step picture!!!

Sienna's First Official Eye Exam & Another Car Accident...

We've had a very busy week... Let's just start off by me wrecking my brand new car... I am NOT having very good luck with cars... We were on our way to my dads birthday party on Tuesday. We were driving on 1-15 near 90th south and the traffic slowed down, so I slowed down... Then I was nailed from behind by 2 freaking cars... It was not a very fun day. My mom and Sienna were in the car with me and we were hit pretty hard. So now, my new cute car is totally wrecked and both insurance companies won't take responsibility for fixing my car and I am TICKED!!!! The wreck was not my fault, they should fix my car... So, I've been a little emotional lately... I guess maybe A LOT emotional... But, Luckily, everyone is okay, nobody was hurt, aside from a few sore muscles, so I should feel lucky that we were all okay. My dad took pictures but I haven't had him email them to me yet, I will have to post the pictures from the wreck... I'm pretty much scared to death to drive now. I had to go to Salt Lake on Thursday and I didn't dare take Sienna with me because I thought I would get in another wreck... Between last month when the entire wheel split in half and fell of the truck, and now this wreck, I think my share of wrecks should be OVER!!! We did have a great dinner after the hour and a half cop ordeal. My dads birthday was great and I think he enjoyed himself. I have cute pictures from that as well but haven't taken them in to get developed yet. It was fun to have the family together to celebrate his birthday. We missed my brother and his family hopefully one day they will live closer!!!

Making sure she doesn't need glasses.

Sienna had her first official eye exam. She did so good. She looked so big sitting in the exam chair and I was so proud of her. She has great eyes... (Probably the only GOOD thing she actually got from me.) and now she's off the hook for another year. Those of you who are new parents there's a really cool program that the American Optometric Association is pushing called the Infant See program... It entitles you to one free eye exam during your child's first year of life... I encourage everyone to get their babies eyes checked during the first year... It can save you from a lot of future problems... They can catch all sorts of things during the first year so PLEASE get them checked.... ClickHERE to find a participating doctor.

~Happy Birthday Daddy~

Happy Birthday Dad... Today is my dads birthday... I can't tell you how much I love this man. He is truly the BEST FATHER in the ENTIRE world!!! I know everyone says that, but mine really is. I have never met a man more loving or more giving. Why I got so lucky to have him as my father is beyond me.

This man never missed anything that I EVER participated in... He sat through every dance recital, choir performance, game I was cheering at, Church program, and anything else that I participated in. I have so many great memories with him, the most recent one that I loved was when we went to Lava Hot Springs last April... I had so much fun driving up in the car with you and my two sisters... Singing and throwing blankets out of the window was the best... The late night runs to the gas station for treats and those stupid brown Necos was so much fun... I hope to do it again REALLY SOON!!! Maybe like next week? How you survived with a house full of girls is BEYOND me...

I'm so glad that my baby WORSHIPS him. Every time she sees him her little face completely lights up and she gets a big grin on her face... We are working on her saying "Bampa". I wanted her to be able to say his name by his birthday, we have worked on it several times a day, but every time we try she just looks at me and grins. Daddy, I hope you have a great day and I can't wait for your party tonight. Thanks for being my dad. You are THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't it amazing to think that these beautiful kids would not be here without you???

Snow Fun

My sleeping princess... She sneaks her hands out of the swaddle... It's so dang cute. I wish we could break the swaddling habit... I've tried, I swear... She just has to be swaddled to go to sleep...
Sienna was SO TIRED... She didn't like the snow party... Shortly after this picture was taken she went down for a 3 hour nap... Christmas wore her out.

Let's just say the two babies were not very happy about being put in the tube...

Grandpa's Legacy Award

I am about 3 weeks behind Kati in the posting department. I wanted to put a little something on my blog about my Grandpa's Legacy Award he received. My grandpa has been in the cattle business for a very long time. I can't say exactly how many years... (If I said how many years I would be kicked out of the family...) But now that I think about it, I have been kicked out of the family more times then I can count... Actually, I think we should review the reasons I have been kicked out of the family... Or more precisely, the Family Will...

1. When I decided I wanted to show a Lamb instead of a Steer at the Spanish Fork Livestock show. I just have to say, I HATED showing steers. Those things were HUGE and they could drag be up and down the road. Even after the many years of showing steers I never learned to like it. On a side note. Every year my dad would swear the ENTIRE time we were working with the steers that "we would never do this again..." And every year another steer miraculously showed up!!!

2. The Day I became A Cheerleader I was kicked out of the family.

3. The day I became "Boy Crazy"

4. The day I called Grandpa to tell him I had decided to get married on December 4th. (That was the first weekend of the National Finals Rodeo, for hells Sakes...."

5. The Actual day I married "Big Trouble"

And I am sure there has been many more times I have been kicked out of the will and there will be many more times to come. I think I am currently still in the family, only because I have a cute baby.

So I really love my Grandpa. He's the craziest man I have ever met!!! And I am crazy proud of this old Man. I am glad we got to be there when you received the legacy award. It was fun to see your stunned reaction... We will never be able to express how proud we are to be your Granddaughters.

Grandpa, Click on the above picture to make it bigger... I will get this printed to add to your scrapbook.
Sienna wasn't enjoying the long speeches given at the awards ceremony. BUT, She did like Grandpa's Speech.
And She LOVED the free food she mooched off Grandpa Seth.
She loved playing with Nana
I had to throw in the Haleigh picture... I'm not really sure what she was mad about!!! Where is the "DEEEEEEZ" Girl?
